Production Technologist – Based in Sydney

SUMMARY: Bandwidth Foundry operates a Class 100 cleanroom facility with equipment for planar photolithography, wet processing, and thermal processing in polymer and metallic substrates on quartz or soda lime blanks. The successful applicant will operate this processing equipment as part of the engineering service of the company.
The main focus of this position will require the production processing of photomasks in the Cleanroom using wet chemical processing, and inspecting the finished masks to ensure they meet the specifications required.
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated experience with wet chemistry, a mechanical aptitude, and a diligence to detail. In addition, the applicant will be required to be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Previous experience in working in a class 100 cleanroom is a definite asset.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operation of the process equipment used in the Laser Lithography process
To carry out the wet chemical processes including the etch, strip and cleaning the products of the Laser Lithography process
To inspect the finished products using to ensure they meet the customer specifications
Keep all documentation associated with the customer designs, communication files and production reports up-to-date and accurate
Maintain inventory control for raw materials and consumables as required
OTHER FEATURES OF THE JOB:
Compliance with the appropriate recommended OH&S requirements to work in the laboratories;
Assist in developing documentation compliant to the Quality System used in the company;
Assist in new technology applications, developments and research as ongoing.
Take on other tasks consistent with the position; as required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
A working knowledge of wet chemistry processes is a must;
Accurate and quality focused working style;
Ability to work to tight deadlines;
Ability and desire to work in an interdisciplinary product development environment; and,
Availability to work afternoon shifts and Saturdays on occasion dependant on work load
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with Chemistry or Physics or similar studies.
At least two years experience in a field related to the above.
Australian Permanent Resident Visa or an Australian or New Zealand Citizen
