Soft lithography is a low cost and highly
accurate method for submicron patterning of 2D and 3D structures. The process requires the production of an
accurate master pattern around which a PDMS stamps is cast. This flexible stamp carries the shape of the
master pattern, and can be used to make multiple prints of the pattern in a
variety of polymer resins. The printing
procedures can be performed outside of a cleanroom, thereby allowing several micro-scale
devices to be produced with minimal capital outlay.
PDMS stamps can be made from direct written
masters formed in photoresist which forms the base or pattern for the PDMS
Stamp. This can be produced to your
designs or we can provide designs to your specifications. Multiple feature
heights within the one stamp can be produced.
Applications to the production of planar lightwave circuits and
microfluidic devices are common.
